JIS Z 8801 Test Sieves
The mesh is made of metal wires woven at right angles (plain weave). For nominal aperture sizes of 2.36 mm or larger, flat-top weave is used; the wires are pre-bent to help prevent distortion of the sieve openings. For nominal aperture sizes of 45 μm or smaller, twill weave may be used. Plain weave is used from 2 mm to 45 μm.
Plain-Weave Wire Cloth
This is a basic weave in which warp and weft wires intersect alternately. The mesh is stable, enabling accurate and efficient sieving.

Twill-Weave Wire Cloth
Both warp and weft wires are woven over two wires and under two wires, with each row offset by one step. This weave is suitable for fine meshes and allows the use of thicker wires.

Flat-Top Wire Cloth
This weave is suitable for coarse and medium-sized particles. It uses flattened wires so that the sieve surface is smooth.

Calibration Certificates / Manufacturer Inspections / Re-Inspections
Since October 2016, we have maintained accreditation as an ISO/IEC 17025 calibration laboratory.
In 2020, we expanded our calibration scope to include non-JIS frame sizes, such as φ50, φ100, φ203, and φ250, in addition to the conventional JIS Z 8801 test sieve frame sizes of φ75, φ150, φ200, and φ300. We can also calibrate aperture sizes of 13 μm and 16 μm with tolerances equivalent to 20 μm.
We have established a system for more reliable calibration. For orders received on or after November 1, 2020, calibration services are provided as follows.
1. Calibration Certificates: New Products Only
• Aperture sizes and frame dimensions within the JIS Z 8801 standard
• Non-JIS frame sizes, including φ50, φ100, φ203, and φ250
• Non-JIS aperture sizes, including 13 μm and 16 μm
2. Manufacturer Inspections: Previously Delivered and Used Products
• Measured according to the inspection method specified in JIS Z 8801
• Aperture inspection report issued
3. Re-Inspections: Previously Delivered Test Sieves with an Inspection Report or Calibration Certificate
• Measured according to the inspection method specified in JIS Z 8801
• Aperture re-inspection report issued
* Each service includes a calibration certificate or inspection report for the measuring instrument, as well as a traceability chart.
* Calibration is available only for new products. For inspections and re-inspections, we may decline items that are excessively dirty or damaged.
* Frame dimensions are limited to a maximum inner diameter of φ300. Larger items cannot be calibrated or inspected.
